What Tap reads

When you sign in with Buffer, Buffer gives Tap access to the parts of your account you approve on Buffer's screen: your account and organisation names, your channels, your posts, and their metrics if Buffer allows it (it doesn't let outside apps read them yet). Tap uses them to show which posts sent people to your site.

Making videos from a link

When you paste a link on "Make shorts", Tap fetches that page and sends its text to OpenAI's language model to write the video scripts. The page's images are fetched through Tap so your browser can use them. The video is rendered in your own browser. When you draft it to Buffer, the finished video is uploaded to Tap and served from a link that is hard to guess, so Buffer can fetch it. Tap deletes it after 30 days, or when you disconnect.

What Tap writes to Buffer

Only when you press a button for it: a draft, an idea, a template or a tag in your own Buffer account. Tap never sends or schedules a post. You do that in Buffer.

What Tap keeps

Tap does not sell or share any of it, and does not use it to train AI models.

Deleting it

Press "Disconnect" in Tap, and everything Tap keeps for your account is deleted. You can also remove Tap's access in your Buffer settings at any time, or ask us to delete it on the studio's private form.

Who runs it

Tap is run by Bananafest Destiny on Cloudflare. Pages on this site have Bananafest Destiny's own visit counter (pulse.bananafest-destiny.com), which counts page loads.
